Yeah, can't believe it! I'm so proud. The ones who remember my "5 months" thread know what I'm talking about. I'm so happy.....now I know I can make it being a veggie my whole life
(quote) now I know I can make it being a veggie my whole life (end quote) Heheheh. I wish you the best of luck, but complacency won't help you!
complacency is accepting things as they are and doing little or nothing. he's being mean. happy half-a-versary (half an anniversary)
i never actually kept track, but now that i think about it, it's coming close to a year, how time flies when something is so natural
W0000t! *teaches zinka the secret 6-month club handshake* *teaches Twila the secret 1-month club handshake (it's the same thing, only with 1 finger instead of 6)*
Yes, I know, when I was celebrating 5 months, you started only one day after that, it's cool Congratulations to you too, sister!
(quote) complacency is accepting things as they are and doing little or nothing. (end quote) Not in my book... To me, it means assuming (incorrectly) that something is sorted, and so ignoring it. E.g. after passing a mock exam you might become complacent, and not revise enough for the final. It's like "pride comes before a fall". (quote) he's being mean. (end quote) Nope. Being realistic. 6 months is hardly any time at all, and thinking otherwise isn't going to do anyone any good in the long run. Pretending that after six months you're somehow guarunteed never to go back is exactly what'll cause you to go back!
I don't think it's the time that matters but the feeling. If you haven't got any cravings anymore and don't feel any desire to eat meat - maybe even feel disgusted by it (as most people do after a while), it's unlikely you're going to "fall back into old habits", isn't it? It's about 1 1/2 year for me by the way.
hey,ZInka that is actually graet, and tomorrow i am also celebrating amonth of being veg. it is really good feeling, you know....a ,onth( i couldn't actually belive i will be able to do that!)..and it is just a month. I can imagine how do you feel about 6 months! Cong. !!! You are my heighbour,croatia....hehe
I am proud to say I have no cravings at all, and that's what I meant in my first message here, so please don't missunderstand me, I know the time doesn't mean that much, or maybe it does, I'm not sure, but because of how I feel I am so sure of myself That you all very much and congrats to others.....
@zinka: Sorry I completely forgot to congratulate you! So, congrats now! And keep on going ... My previous post was aimed more at jim_w, I don't think I misunderstood you.
tell that to a six-month nonsmoker. Or an AA member with a six-month chip. Its a change of habits and just because YOU are no longer veg and kill for a living, does not mean that NO ONE can do it. I went veg in 1979-80. where does that leave your theory?
