Tongue piercing stretching

I had my tongue pierced almost ten years ago and because of a nervous disorder, I would constantly play with it and began stretching it at the piercing site. Without knowing it, I had stretched it to a six gauge. Just recently I manually stretched it to a gauge four. Can anyone tell me if it will stretch further on its own? Anyone with a similar story?

dont know if it'll stretch more. go into a shop an ask!
