The book is really good. I haven't seen the movie. I wouldn't be suprised if it was a bit overrated, people do seem to be obsessive about it. It's hard to live up to some of the praises that movie seems to recieve. Still, I imagine it's a good movie. Good director.

 

you got see the movie of course it wont impact like it would back then becouse back then such extreme in the movies or tv did not existed . materr of fact it was never shown on tv. to extreme for regular tv even today.

Star wars.. Style over substance, Mr Lucas thinks he is a creative genius.. no George thats the dozens of people that come up with ideas and you 'rubber stamp' them, i could do that .. Plus 6 films ??? i think 3 would have been enough, not just the first (last 3) just the whole story condessed into 3 films...i could have forgiven his self indulgence with a triology..but 6 !! thats taking the piss.

No not realy..i did not realy like them either...saying that at least there is a story that has been thought through and i think no post justifications for certain actions or story plots..

 

ACTUALLY i dont give a dam how many they make as long as the special effect gets better with a half decent plot. much better than fucking police drama bullshit, or MTV and the ****** gansta crap.

I didn't get how Braveheart beat Apollo 13 for the best picture a few years back. I think that Braveheart was way over rated and Mel Gibson is ridiculous. Ron Howard should have gotten nominated for best director too. The launch scene in Apollo 13 gives me goosebumps. You gotta have some killer balls to sit on a bomb and wait for it to explode and send you into outer space. Oh well, that was one that really pissed me off.
