hey all, i have a thought concerning me..and wanted some advice from unbiased individuals such as yourselves. ive been wanting to have nose surgery for quite some time, years actually, and the opportunity has come up for me to get it. i would feel so much better about myself when i looked in the mirror and would gain confidence. ive tried to accept my nose but i just hate it. my problem is that i love things in their natural state, and i feel like changing my nose would be changing the way i am supposed to look. it obviously wont change my soul/mind, just my body. they obviously arent adding anything foreign to me, just taking away cartilage and shaping. this is the only surgery i would ever get, and i just have a slight doubt that i would destroy my natural nose even though i hate it. advice? comments? thanks!
_There was a thread regarding plastic surgery & everyone that read it knows I am not against it. The only problem I see with surgery is that people tend to take it too far, not knowing when to stop. A well preformed surgery shouldn't alter dramatically your appearance, just improve it.
well if you think its changing you natural state and you think thats wronge if you have that in the back of your mind you might regret it,you might hate the way it looks after the surgery if you have doubts about it i wouldnt do it.
good looks are very handy in life, and i dont realy see how much diferent that is than wearing makeup or even brushing your hair. you are a serious honey all ready tho little siss and are just gonna get better as you mature
Sorry, but what is wrong with your nose? I think you are very beautiful! Please don't go for surgery, there are so many things that can go wrong ! imagine it wouldn't heal correctly.. or weird scartissue ewww. it's all not worth it. There are cheaper and healthier ways to get more self esteem!
_Maybe is not about self-esteem. Not everything we dislike/would like to change boils down to self-esteem. I agree that you are beautiful & I see nothing wrong w/your nose but I am not you & at the end of the day, you are the one more capable to take the decision that is right for you.
When I was 17 i wanted surgery too. I wanted to get a boob reduction, get the bump in my nose shaved off, and have my ears made smaller. Now I am glad that I didn't.. because I can look at those things I used to hate and see the people I got them from. Some of those people aren't around anymore, but looking in the mirror makes me realize they are still a part of me.
i looked at the pics in your gallery and i think you have a very sweet, unique look. you're beautiful and it looks liek you have a lot of friends who love you to bits. i would say don't do it, but then who am i to say that? i want a tummy tuck, i had twins and my belly is a hanging mess. Somedays it doesn't bother me, sometimes i get really sad about it. And sometimes there's nothing anyone can say to make it feel better. It's an internal struggle, one that we must battle on our own.

Uhm...on the subject of prominent noses, a friend of mine has one larger than yours by far, but she plays it up so well. She's always laughing at it and mentioning it, and it totally fits her. She's still gorgeous and she makes people like it rather than think its gross. Maybe you could htink about accepting and loving your nose rather than slicing it up. I have small boobs, but I still laugh because I can jump up and down without immense pain or ogglage from guys. So yeah, I'm sure you've thought of that before, but just consider making your nose an object of praise... I think you're beautiful just the way you are..
thanks!! just incase you thought the Jesus fish tatts in my gallery are mine, they're not. But i do agree that they are cool! If i would have put more thought into my tattoos, i would have done something like that.
