i've got a dj slot on friday in a club and its part of four dj's all running on different themes of the four horsemen of the apocalypse, my slot has to do withpestilence, so can you all name any songs you know that have any vague reference to pestilence, mainly indie and rock songs, but honestly anything will do!!!!!!!!!!

    thanks!

Lazy Line Painter Jane - Belle & Sebastian (well, it's got a reference to STDs in it, probably doesn't count as pestilence...)
I daresay A Perfect Circle, Tool, Metallica and The Smiths probably have something somewhere.

For the other horsemen - do you have...
Preaching the End of the World - Chris Cornell
Don't Fear the Reaper of course
Time is Running Out - Muse
The Black Angel's Death Song - Velvet Underground

I'm a bit rubbish really. Hope that helped Spyder!

I immediately thought of "the aphid" by the Fall, but that's more famine-related...

if i get what you mean,
    what about uhm

'Your Disease' - Saliva (kerrange cd's are finally useful for something)
    'New Disease' - Spinshank
'Wave of Mutilation' - The Pixies
    'Death Threat' - Insolence
'Make Me Bad (Sickness in Salva' - Korn
    'Death of ones elbow'
or 'Death of a disco dancer' - The Smiths
'Wake the Dead' - A Perfect Circle
'Dried up, Tied and Dead to the World'
or 'Minute of Decay' - Marilyn Manson

apparently Pestilence were a death / thrash metal band from the Netherlands, so it'd be funny if you could get hold of some their stuff!

(and if i've miss-understood and look stoopid (don't tell dok) - and be nice to me, i'm dandy after all?)
