i'm just wondering if any of u people wit bi-polar or just anyone in general has ever dated a person wit bi-polar? how was the experience? the reason i ask because i am bi-polar and i've had lots of shitty relationships. i sometimes feel scared when i'm in a relationship wit a girl. it seems like when i get into one i end up doing something to hurt her instead of me getting hurt. i'm not a woman beater. what i meant by hurt was by hurting her heart and i wanna learn from my mistakes. can anyone give me some pointers or share wit me some experiences wit dating someone who has had bi-polar? i'd appreciate it.

I have bipolar and I've had problems in the past too. My main problem was falling for the wrong kinds of guys. My last boyfriend treated me badly and yelled at me all the time for stupid reasons. He was an idiot and I ended up cheating on him. Pretty low I know, but he deserved it. Luckily I'm with a fantastic guy now, so don't worry, there is hope. Sorry I can't give you the perspective of someone who's dated someone else with bipolar. Just be honest with your partner about your disorder and your feelings. If you've found the right person then everything will work out.

my fiance is bipolar, but it's never been an issue in our relationship. i know that some days he's going to be down in the dumps and nothing i can do will help him feel better. all i can do when he's feeling depressed is be sweet to him and care for him. i'm not bipolar, but i have shitty days and i am very emotional, so i cry a lot when i have a shitty time, and he knows all he can do is be sweet to me and care for me. that's all you can do :)

My boyfriend is the type who's ALWAYS happy.. and I'm bipolar so the littlest things (or nothing at all) can cause me from being the happiest person on earth to a crying jag. It's hard on him but he's understanding and knows when to back off. It more hurts my relationships with friends.
