I would like to ask all around and mostly for research: what do you listen to when you're tokin'? I know what I listen to and as a musician, I happen to be very selective with music. Is anyone like me and what would be your personal pick(s)?

well for me i like calm things...and haha i basicaly only like 2 listen 2 stuff from the 60s and maybe some 70s when im stoned cuz it..just feels better. it like...makes me feel like i really am in the 60s. i like the DOORS(but theyre just awesome 2 listen to ANYTIME!), pink floyd, and like just about anything on my burned '60s cd. i dont really like listenin 2 like new pop music or metal or anything cuz it kinda gives me a headache if im stoned haha :)

    wut do u listen 2?

Well if im toking up with my lady friend and her friend all they listen to is techno, so we listen to that, and its great especially if ur riding around.

Pantera is good to listen to if u have a sorta energetic high.

The best is pink floyd. Dark side of the moon.

Other greats are Tool and A Perfect Circle(Mer De Nomz is the best cd)

Slipknot's slower more mellow songs like Prelude 3.0, Circles, Danger- Keep Away, that is all on the new cd. Those are almost as good as pink floyd.

My dad has this album called Quintesscense(sp?) In Blissful Company or something ,its like Hare krishna music from back in the early 70's and its really trippy. The last song is them doing the Hare Krishna chant over and over, its really good.

I listen to Portishead and Massive Attack, Supreme Beings of Leisure and such. It definitely varies and it depends on who I'm with. I've got this awesome friends I toke with that only listens to Coltrane and Grateful Dead; another one bluegrass. I adapt if the environment is right. Cool tunes can be found anywhere!

Yeah, Pink Floyd, Tool (especially Lateralus), Dave Matthews Band, Cat Stevens, Steve Miller Band, Carbon Leaf, Enigma, Allman Bro's, John Denver...there's a lot of great music

I generally tend to keep it mellow, I don't like Metal either, or shitty pop music from these days.

Classical music is pretty tight too, believe it or not. I'd like to try bluegrass stoned one day, sounds like it'd be cool.

but when im baked (far and few between these days) i get into alot rock and trippy shit. im with trippin, lateralus is the SHIT. i like jazz, classical is crazy, anything before 1990 really. I personally only like pink floyd when im trippin heavy, like when i drink robo or smoke and pop pills.

    pusherman - curtis mayfield
    aenema- tool
    escape from hellview - cky

alright, i gotta add more. :)

Im also into experimental, or psycedelic stuff. Right now i got this album from "the stone roses". Its really crazy, its like, 60's psych with 80's beats. I dont like 80's style music to much, but this stuff is really good, especially the song im listening to, "don't stop." Sort of dreamy as well...its weird, but great! my first time listening to it. I also dig 13th floor elevators, Pink Floyd, The Books, and animal collective.
