man I can hardly wait for their next album... it's been since may 15th, 2001 when Lateralus came out... plus the dvd from the last tour is still in the works... tool is just something so awesome... the resulting tour from the upcoming album will really be incredible experience...
Ignore all the flaming you will get for liking TooL. I love TooL. However, I am a bit skeptical that they will even put one out, at least for awhile. I've heard so many different rumors, and I don't know if any of them are true are not. As of right now though, there is no news at all about a new album, and I check almost daily.
its supossed that its coming out this year... there is no date but is this year.... at least thats what they´ve said.... and it seems is gonna be truly amazing.. hope i can get tickets for the tour!!!
I wasn't trying to flame, man... I just, I guess I don't get it... I never found much depth in their music. What songs would you suggest I listen to to get a better idea?
any of them really. Listen to their Opiate Cd. even Undertow or Aenema are good to hear. Don't judge them off of Lateralus. I love the CD, but its my least favorite of them all.
they were supposed to release the album early this year, and its not even close to being done yet, and I have heard rumours that maynard has called it quits, but I dont know if the rumours are true or not........
Ive heard the same things. One even went so far as to say he "found god" I can't seem to come up with any type of new news
lol, maynard finding god was an april fools joke that they took seriously, kurt loder even wrote a followup to it, I don't have the link handy but it's on mtv news. on the tool website, blair has mentioned several times in the last few months of news little bits and pieces about the progress of the new album, and as far as I can tell, it seems to me that things are well underway and there shouldn't be anything to worry about.
sorry for posting this late ..... i saw that on the official web site... they keep telling its almost over and that it is amazing... in words of danny carey himself "its the best thing i have ever played" O.O it just keeps me wondering when i will have it in my hands..... =)
