After years of searching, I finally have found a worthwhile job. It is at a Redwoods State Park and I will be managing 3 campgrounds and giving interpretive programs. Unfortunately it is about 2 hours south of my house and so I am going to live in the parks housing which is a tiny cabin that only contains spiders. Never-the-less, a change is welcome. So in a few days I will be free of the hotel and Arcata.

good for you christine, sounds perfect for you (and me :D)

I myself may have lost my job in the good ol' armpit of america(what is up with those "W" bumper stickers?!)

some time alone in the forest sounds very good right now, and probably again when I'm ready to whittle alone undrneath an old pine tree

    Thanks everyone :)

Sadly Gary, there are a lot of those "W" bumper stickers around here too. It is probably just because of the dumbass town of McKinleyville though...

I still have the ol' boyfriend and I am going to miss him a lot. But I will drive up every weekend that I have and we'll hang out. And he is going to come and visit me since I told him I would let him stay in the campground for free :p
