ok, I really need help, I wouldn't bother posting this here, but I have no were left to turn for help I'm on the edge I'm losing it, you guys are probably just going to think I complain a lot, if you see my other posts but this time it's really important I mean I need some ones help right now...to make a long story short I don't have any friends, well none that live close to me I only have like 3 and they live like 40 min. away...any way I think it's because I don't talk to much, because I never know what to talk about, I don't know way I always feel subconscious that I'm going to say something stupid or something so I don't say much...anyway back to my original question, I need to know what to talk about? like I need to know how would you start a conversation, or just what to say to people? please I don't know what to do, I can't stand having to always be alone, and have every one not even notice me...it's been like this as long a I can remember...it sucks...now, I'm going on a trip for a few days with school, and I need to know what to say, because this girl is going to be going that I want so bad I'd do any thing to get her I liked her since the first day of school, but were just like friends, but lately she's been acting like she likes me more then just a friend and one of her friends who is also mine said that they were talking about me and he asked her if she was falling for me and she said "maybe, I wish he wasn't so quit though", but not to tell me...any way I really need to talk on the trip, please some one I need to know how to start conversations, and just what to say in general, before the trip, please...every one always just says to be myself, or something, but I tried it just doesn't work for me I think I have social anxiety or something, not to mention I think I'm also really depressed, so can some one write some stuff that I can say in different situations, and for starting conversations and stuff, I'm really desperate, I'll do any thing, please, I'm leaving the day after tomorrow, so I need the help soon...
Hi, i felt similar to you a few years ago and i have to say that the more you talk and force yourself into social situations the easier it'll get. Remember that anyone decent is not going to be waiting for you to fuck up and say something dumb, and that most people are just concentrating on themselves. The easiest way to talk with someone is to relax because then things may just flow out. Conversation starters: what music do you like? discuss... Pets? books? etc.. just basically ask about them, cos people love talking about themselves, esp. women! If a woman thinks you're interested in what shes got to say and are a good listener she'll like you. Ask about hobbies? mention how you love a certain thing... take a magazine on your trip and if your're near the girl or anyone point something out to them in magazine (that's interesting) this may start a conversation. Do not try and be someone else because it'll be harder and stress you out even more, you don't have to be loud to have people like you. i totally agree with dreamcatcher..people LOVE to talk about themselves, so just ask questions, and then you can respond with something you have in common with them!! good luck with the girl, and have a great time on your trip!!! peace
well, that may be true spooner but he wants to TALK to the girl not ignore her. we don't want to build a monster here that plays head games. he's got a girl picked out.....now he wants to go out with her. (not trying to be rude spoonman)
