Short Stories, Poetry, Reviews, Articles, Art: Want Them Published?

yeh im not sure of how much i agree with everything on teh site....but i want to share my thoughts with a range of ppl....

 

Do you mean the Counter Blasts section, or the site in general? We don't have a uniform opinion on there, there are a lot of different contributors from a range of left wing backgrounds. There's a great deal of debate on there, I'd be surprised if anyone agreed with everything entirely.

something worth looking deeply into..

BASIC BANKS ACCOUNTS for war and pensions..

all very poor accounts with high charges for the poorer sector of
this country..only a few banks do this, due to the fact new labour
asked them to set these up, with the post office in stead of posting GIROS,,,
eg . incapacity benefit ,child benefit,pension from state,income support
social loan, and lower money earners [WITH NO OVERDRAFT allowed]

heres one of the banks in question....

alliance and leicester
basic cash account set up for the governments
money...
failed transaction --- 34 pounds...
extra copies of statement--- 5 pounds...
same day payment to another account --- 30 pounds....
bankers reference --- 10 pounds.
statement --- 4 pounds...

so who is better off since the changes imposed
by this idea of easy payments as advertised
on our tv..{a capitalists company that shows a lighter side
of life in the uk]
no one.. it earns no interest on your money
yet they can charge for all the things
that current accounts have.....

these are high charges that reflect our system
in which people are now forced to be part of
a bank{ who allows the giros into a basic account.}
also many lower wage workers end up with these
accounts too.

im just looking into all the other banks who offer
such a poor account to the people it is
providing for....

Counter Blasts needs more work from people, and I want to involve as many people from Hip Forums as possible. What we really need right now are short stories and reviews. Reviews can be on anything, from film and albums, to gigs and artistic events. They don't have to be long, but if you fancy writing a review on anything you've seen or heard, send them my way. We're still taking poems or songs too, if you want to send them, but reviews and short stories are the big priority at the moment....

 

might try some review writing...working on a few short stories also....will let ya knoif i write anything half decent
