When will reality shows DIE!!!

I just saw a commercial for hell's kitchen. IT looks like Simon Cow dyed his hair and put on an apron. dude acts like him too. lets shove it down their throat.

 

I agree that reality tv needs to just die, it's been around WAY too long. It's really bad when you can't really remember what tv was like before "reality" tv

 

I hate reality TV. Its was okay at first.. A change from the sam old sitcom.. But when was the last time they came out with a new reality show that actually succeded.. Every season they come out with 10 new ones and all the new ones flop.. Is that not a clue to get off of the reality tv ride

 

It should be a clue. Even the names are stupid. I think they actually put effort into making them bad. What would the motivation for that be?

 

When will they get that no noe wants to watch them AT ALL?!?

 

i dont really care, if they are on, they are on.. granted theres so many its annoying, but there is an off button and other channels to choose from..

 

I watched American Idol, but that's about it... sometimes I'll flip thru the channels to see what's on...and I'll pause when I see a reality show and I'll be like "omg! what is this world coming to? Is this really on tv?"

 

I think they are like the game show fade back in the 70s. soon enough everyone will get tired of em.

 

some times its hard to tell if its just a joke or a real show. like the gieko comercial with the little house. and i saw another show where clebrites are dance partners with profesional dancers and then you vote on whos best.

and they are purposely making it stupid because they want us to be stupid.

How many reality programes are there on TV realy (at any one given time)..There is to many soaps out there.. to many property programes out there blah blah blah blah.

To many adverts for that crazy frog.. don't go crazy though.. just spend some time on the internet were there is to much porn.. porn Vs other over subscribed crap ???? difficult dicision there.

Wow, boy do I agree with this thread. I am SO sick of the gazillion reality shows and all the new ones that keep popping up. I think it's getting obvious that America is getting tired of them all in general because most of them don't make it past a few episodes. Time to get a clue and drop them already!

There have been maybe 3 or 4 series total (out of like 5000) that I've ended up actually liking: Real World/road rules (The ORIGINAL reality shows!!), Survivor, and Nick and Jessica (Ok fine, slap me, but I like it!)

And what someone said about it being bad when you can't remember what TV was like before reality TV... amen to that.

 

I liked 'the real world' that was actualy good..because it was real .
Shoving a group of idiots in one place with no interaction with reality is a poor excuse for TV even if there are few moments of 'comedy' within it.. sitting through hours of crap aint worth it.

Everything is deemed 'reality TV' (i have heard) in the US..it helps sell the show ... even if it is not really e.g QeFtSG
