What do you think is the worst cover/remix/sample song ever? Here's my list:

    1) Johnny B. Goode- The Beatles : This song was so energetic and full of life. Although I love the Beatles to the power of a million, I think they butchered this really cool song. They just sound tired and bored when singing it.

    2) I don't remember the name of the song, but it's that song from Godzilla that P. Diddy made using Zeppelin's "Kashmir". I thought it sucked ass! Nothing in that song went together.

    3) Ice Ice Baby- Vanilla Ice: He took the best hook ever in a Queen song and ruined it with his pathetic "rapping"

well, that's all i can come up with off the top of my head. I hope you all have better songs.

That new version of Imagine....by whoever it is... yuck.

And I so totally agree, the 'Kashmir' based song from Godzilla is exceptionally bad.
The entirely abominable Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band catastrophe of a film by the BeeGees.

A Perfect Circle did "Imagine"... of course it was bound to suck. :p

The worst cover I've ever heard, by far, is Good Charlotte's cover of Oasis' "Acquiesce." It's probably the worst song I've ever heard ever. wtf.

I'm surprised no one mentioned Limp Dickhead doing "Behind Blue Eyes"

APC really shit on themselves with that eMotive album. I loved their first two, very Maynard, but that was just garbage. I wouldn't even buy it so I could burn it. It would be a waste of a flame

The saddest part is that Jimmy Page was all "Oh, this is a great mix!" and I think he even toured with them. Hmm... I wonder how much it costs to buy Jimmy Page these days... *checks pockets for loose change*

    My picks:
    1) Whoever ripped The Cure's "Lovesong" (not one of their better songs to begin with)
    2) Whoever ripped Men At Work's "Overkill" and kept the original vocals in the 3rd verse coz the new guy couldn't sing that high! What's the point? [IMG]
    3) Van Halen does Martha & the Vandellas "Dancing in the Street" (although Eddie Van Halen sorta got the hairdo right).

How about that Pat Boone album where he covers a bunch of heavy metal songs? Anyone heard any of those songs?

"Where have all the good times gone." VH

    ^ ;)

I was about to mention Tom Jones, but his covers are so awesomely bad you can't get enough. Take that, Prince. "I think I'm gonna dance now..."

Madonna and Cyndi Lauper also did covers of Imagine and Give Peace A Chance. Awful.
