Answer: He was born in 1916 in Bilbao and died in 1979 in Madrid. He was a poet and in many of his works he talks about the problems Spain was facing after their war, (1936-1939) the Spanish Civil War. This poem shows both the pain and the love spanish people felt for their country.

PIDO LA PAZ Y LA PALABRA

    Escribo
    en defensa del reino
del hombre y su justicia. Pido
    la paz
    y la palabra. He dicho
    «silencio»,
    «sombra»,
    «vacío»
    etcétera.
    Digo
    «del hombre y su justicia»,
    «océano pacífico»,
    lo que me dejan.
    Pido
    la paz y la palabra.

Translation (don't rely too much on it, I translated it myself)

I ask for peace and for the word

I write in defense of the kingdom,
the man and his justice. I ask
For peace and for the word. I've said
    "silence",
    "shadow",
    "void"
    etcetera.
    I say
"of the man and his justice",
    "pacific ocean",
    what they let me.
    I ask
    for peace and the word.

He studied Law in Madrid, but he didn't find it appealing so he devoted himself to writing.
That's all I know about him, but try google, I'm sure you'll find more information. :)
