I'm not sure if that's how you spell her name, but OMG is anyone else excited?! she crossed the floor from conservative to liberal... and today the conservatives called her an attractive dipstick, and a prostitute.... etc. any thoughts/comments?
Yeah. It just further proves that the conservatives are pigs. I posted this in another Forum (Nexopia.com) in the Politics and Debate forums. He said, "Well she's jus proved herself to be a dipstick; A pretty dipstick, but a dipstick" and also said that she was, "Whoring herself out." I'd like to see them say that if a man crossed. Fucking pigs.

She's not stupid, but she was bought. Martin just scammed himself out of an election; really bad for democracy.
That's not the point. If a guy was "bought" they wouldn't call him, "A dipstick... a hansome dipstick.. but still a dipstick" or that he was "whoring himself out". They only said that because she's female.
well besides bothering to comment on bullshit political name calling, or assuming that because someone comes from a rich family they must be stupid, i have to mention that even though i DO want the liberals out of office, it was important that the liberal budget was passed... if the conservatives had've won the vote, it would be very likely that it would be a conservative budget that would be passed... which is crap. pure crap. Besides, Belinda may have swayed a crucial vote, but what's-his-face from Surrey, BC... the independent... he really was the one to swing the final vote into a tie, he could've ended it right there, so even though Stronach has created a wonderful media story, she wasn't the last word.
Oh yeah... and why the hell didn't the Single Transferrable Vote system pass?!! If you live in BC, why didn't you vote for STV?!!?!!
could you of guaranteed that chuck cadman (the mp you we're referring too) would of voted with the liberals? he wasn't planning on it orignally. secondly, the man is dying of cancer - who's to guarantee he'd be able to make it to the vote. as for STV, i'm not a huge fan of the first-past-the-post system we currently use, but there are good reasons to vote no. there is no legislature written, which means if we'd voted yes the liberals would have been able to legally write up a self-serving new mode of elections.

Yup, the federal gov. is better with a minority gov. That way more of the population is actually represented. The only advantage I see to having another election is that the conservatives (according to recent poles) will have less seats, the NDP will have more, and the Liberals will sit pretty much the same. I'm hearing that the Green Party is growingin the poles too. It would be nice to see them with a bunch of seats. Belinda Stronach is hot...........
