This whole society is dumb. So my mom got home from work and not five seconds later there were two televisions turned on. (nothing unusual there.) THe news was on and they are talking about sex offenders and stuff and then they had another story about sex offenders. Fuck that. I dont care about them enough to be on the news. They were talking about how you can stay safe and how to keep your kids safe and this and that. IMO, If you dont want your kids in danger of a sex offender, Keep an eye on your fucking kids! What's with this new obsession with sex offenders, anyway? a few years ago, they would have a story about one every couple months or so when one got arrested. That was the last you heard about it. NOw its every fucking day on every fucking channel. No wonder people are getting worried. Theyre making it sound like were being infiltrated by zombies or something. Now, there is at least one in every neighborhood. Thats not really that bad, considering you get a couple thousand random people together, youll have murderers, stalkers, pedos, rapists, masochists, hermits, cat ladys, thieves, drug addicts, sex offenders, freaks, disabled people, Schizophrenics, assholes like me, anarchists, nazis, foreigners, bums, mooches, packrats, dirties, and anyone else i failed to mention. What the fuck makes them so special. Why dont they focus on the hate mongers, or repeated drug offenders or something. Or the con artists. wouldnt it be important to know who was out conning people out of money? Thats not the point. I want to be informed of what goes on in my city. I want to know the important stuff, like what is going to close down, or open up, budget stuff, law stuff, the crimes that just happened, the crimes that were just solved, and all the other downtown shit. I want them to tell me where I can go for employment opportunities, that would be a little useful, right? Where's the next police auction at? Tell us about thrifty living. Then of course you got your fires and traffic accidents.
That is why they have the sex offender registry. IF you have kids, you should take five minutes out of your important little life to look it up. IT dosent have to be plastererd all over to scare the shit out of people. We get these little cards in the mail every six months. Each sex offender gets his own card. They are required by law to send them out to every house in a certain radius of where they live. This card says the offenders Name, offense, picture, address, Job. If thats not enough, youre not a very observant person. Maybe I'm giving people too much credit. I was a little durnk, yesterday. I would not rather be raped or have my kids raped. personally, I think the media does sensationalize this. Now before anyone jumps down my throat, I'd just like to say I personally would throw the swtich on a diddler. Now that that is clear why do we need to hear about it, unless it's for trying to save the kid and publishing photo's etc. The parents are probably having a hard enough time greiving, they don't need to see that shit either. Personally I just think it's fuckin depressing. I think that if a sex offender moves into a neighbourhood you should know HOWEVER they don't need to talk up valuable time on TV. Inform the neighbourhood that needs to know and leave it at that. Personally I'm never going to have kids I don't ever want to have to go through the worry a parent has to. There are a ton more sex offenders for one very simple reason; society is CRAZY. Maybe not in most cases, but a while ago, at a graduation at my high school, a guy went up to get his diploma, mooned his class, and the audience saw his penis. So... he got arrested for some sort of sexual misconduct, and has to register as a sex offender for the rest of his life. There are definitely a lot of bad, sick people out there, but I don't think there would be a sex offender in every neighborhood if society stopped having people register as such for "crimes" like the poor graduating boy.
