    hi everyone,
im new here, yeah good way to start off huh? well all i have to say is that i know it was really idiotic but my bf n I didnt use a condom the other nite and, well yeah. I was just wondering what time of the month is a girl most likely to get pregnant... like right before her period or after? He also pulled out so does that make any difference? Im also trying to find a place to get the plan b pill, which is kinda hard to find since most places you have to be 18, and im scared to go to the doctor, cause it seems really expensive.... is it?
wellp.. yah so any help would be great

    thankz

Well, if he pulled out, the chances of you being pregnant are a LOT slimmer than if he had cum inside of you. You can still get pregnant through pre-cum, since there is sperm in it, even if there's not as much as in regular cum. So, yeah, next time wear a condom, but if he pulled out, I don't think your chances are too high. Maybe someone else here can offer you some better wisdom than I.....

the pull-out method does not keep you safe from std's or getting preggers......it's actually how i got pregnant. always use a condom! (i'm sure you know that already but still....):) why don't you call your local planned parenthood and ask them about getting on some form of birth control and also find out about whether or not the morning after pill can be available to you (that's what you meant by plan b pill, right?). i'm not completely sure, but i think that at planned parenthood they only charge you for certain things depending on your income....meaning if you don't have one things will be much cheaper for you......although i can't remember if i'm totally right about that one but you could atleast ask them what the deal is. I think you can get BC without parental consent if you are underage......when my friend and I were 16 I remember going with her to get some and I don't think her parents even knew. But the morning after pill only works about 48-72 hours after sex so you might want to hurry up and inquire about it if you plan to do so.

yeah i tried going to planed parenthood today, but they moved, and the only other one i know of is way way downtown...looks like ill be going there though. Are you more likely to get pregnant right before your period though? or is there less of a chance then? i've been looking all over and i cant find that out..

    this is how it works....

your body ovulates (sends out an egg) and if the egg doesn't get fertilized with sperm, the uterus will shed the womb it has started to create, hence the period......so you are more likely to get pregnant right before your period starts because you are ovulating....

uh, no, you ovulate right after your period is done.

No. Ovulation generally occurs 14 days BEFORE you get your period. So, if you typically have a 28 day cycle, you will ovulate around day 14. BUT, if you have a 35 day cycle, you will typically ovulate around day 21. If your cycle is irregular, then obviously it is harder to pinpoint when you ovulated. While it is highly unlikely, you can get pregnant at any time in your cycle.

Check the sticky thread "Resource for Emergency Contraception". Plan B is effective for up to 120 hours after sex, but the sooner you take it, the lesser the chance of pregnancy. And please pick up some condoms or ask your gyno about BC-pulling out is definitely not effective birth control.

Ladies! You need to know your bodies! Eyelinerlint and Adeela-listen to these women.

BUT-you can get pregnant anytime of the month. You must use a condom or BC if you know your partner is clean every time you have sex or you will get pregnant! It's not that hard.

Eyeliner, here is a post from our resident pharmacy specialist, PhotoGra1. It is a source of Emergency Contraception. (It is also posted as a "sticky" at the top of this forum) It is a source for the Pill and Morning After Contraception.

    Go here for more information.

    http://www.hipforums.com/forums/showpost.php?p=959749&postcount=1

    It leads to this site

    http://www.getthepill.com/

You can also go to a local Planned Parenthood, and they can get you Emergency Morning After Pill, if it is appropriate for your situation, and that is what you want.

Good luck, I hope you will be OK.

if you are worried....take a pregnancy test.....

how long ago did you have unprotected sex because it might be too late for the morning after pill anyway......

Somebody told me that if I used the "pull-out method" I would be pregnant too but that hasn't happened yet. Now we are lazy and don't even pull out when we think I am not ovulating and so far we have been right because I've been off the pill for 5 months now and still no baby. It's not a big deal if we did get pregnant because we are going to start trying soon anyway, but we've been sort of experimenting with getting to know my cycle and if there is an okay time to be careless....however, we are married and want a baby soon, so we can afford to be careless.
My point is, unless you had sex in the middle of you're cycle (14 days before period starts) and your bf pulled out before any ejaculation whatsoever, then your chances of being pregnant are way slim.
My friend and her husband used the pull out method for 5 years and the only time they got pregnant is when he didn't pull out because they wanted a baby. This might not work for everyone (for example, Elle said she got pregnant using this method) so if you absolutely don't want to get pregnant, use a condom. In the meantime, don't worry, or you might interrupt the natural flow of your cycle just by stressing.
