Man I Can't Wait Until Next Semester In The Fall. I'm Taking Design 2 Drawing 2 Beg. Printmaking Beg. Graphic Design It's Going To Be A Lot Of Work But Very Rewarding Also Expensive. But Oh Well. It's A Passion
i just got done taking drawing 1, a required art course, and ceramics 1, an elective. Next fall, I'm doing an independent study in papermaking, along with printmaking and design 1. In the spring, I'm taking asthetics and art history II. I really want to spend time with fiber arts, but they hid all of the looms again, so it's getting complicated. ohh well. one thing at a time, eh? well, sort of one thing at a time, although i'm taking two studio classes in the fall and none in the spring.
I'm in my second year and I have graphic Design 1, Desktop Publishing, Design History, and i took painting and illustration. next semester i'm taking drawing 3 and photography for my options. I remember my first year was pretty jumbled-Typography is the worstclass ever!
I took 3 years worth of art classes at a local university and then dropped out. I don't see it being allt hat rewarding. I could've lerned the same techniques on my own and there is not a huge demand for professional artists. all in all, i wanted to be an artist and i could do so withoout going to school for it. something to think about
yea i can be an artist to, with out school..but it's true not many artist make good money..so college was an option for a secure future..i have two kids to support and nobody to help...so i think that is enough reason for my degree...at least it's something i love.
my mom was a stripper for a while. if there was demand, i'd be a stipper. its not a bad thing. the money's good. its easy. its a self esteem boost.
Person: "i'm an artist" Me: "So how long have you been a waiter?" lol just find what you love and then figure out how to make money at it. i just figured id throw in that joke. have fun and post pics of your work!
