if i have one it may take some searching to find it. i'm trying to decide what to put on my table when i read cards for the local pagan pride day event tomorrow.

i remember seeing a reader who simply put a candle on her table, it sure seemed to work because she was busy all day and as i watched i could see people being atracted to the flame

sometimes simple is best, I agree....

I want to set one up for Halloween, to commemmorate the day of the dead... Since I'm having folks over the day before for a pumpkin carving party, I was thinking of letting people - if they wanted - to contribute memorandums of people they knew who passed away in the last year on the altar and light a votive or something... Just need a big table for that...

i don't have any pic's, but in my back yard, i have a hanging altar...it's quite beautiful.

you take a flat square piece of wood, howeve big u want it, and tie rope and vines to each corner and tie them together at the top. then hang it from a tree limb and when the wind blows, it makes the altar spin. i have chymes hanging from it also.

I love wind chimes! (I have a few outside made w/ bone and shells)
Those are great pics of altars! I usually like to make mine with more space. I have my altar cloth reflecting the Harvest (color I mean) My silver tray with a silver lotus incense burner/candle holder. Sea Shells holding late blooming flowers, salt, herbs, and crystals. My ocean rocks, whale bones, and I have a pyramid shaped Malachite on there right now as well.

I think that's a beautiful idea, I've a few trees growing in my garden, so that'd make a wonderful decoration!
