word processors alternatives....

    In a desperate attempt to finish (and start) a history paper due tommorow AND without any type of word processor program... i leave this open to discussion--What is a free easily accesible alternative to word that you guys have come across. (Thanks a bunch)

    Would you suggest OpenOffice over Microsoft Word 2003? (2003 is my favorite word)

    Well.... No, not really. It can do pretty much everything that Word can, and some other stuff, but it's not as easy to use.

    Abiword is another good replacement for Word. It's also free

    Haha thanks guys. I ended up DLing Word off BitTorrent so its all good. Does anyone understand the whole Alcahol120/Daemon tools mounting image blah blah thing for a complete bittorrent idiot? Anyone in the mood to explain a lil.

    i suggest the daemon tools route.

    it's free, just google it or something.

    you run it, then right click the icon and say "mount image" or something.

    basically, it creates a virtual drive, that you can mount your .iso and other cd image files.

    very handy, as many games and such you download from bittorrent will come in the form of a cd image
