When i try and start an audio conversation on msn, it says 'you do not have a soundcard or it is not properly installed.'

i know it's there and it works because everything else sound-wise works, and i've had this happen to me once before but i can't really remember what it was that i did

    any help :D?

Do you have your MesSeNger configured right? Does it support YOUR sound card?

    Two things to check.

Becky, is this problem unique to msn messenger, or can't you get sound at all?

Firt off I would recomend not using messenger :p Second is this the built in Windows Messenger? Or the latest build of MSN Messenger? Third - You need to point the software to the recording device that you want to use. Windows usually does this for you if you have allready set up a microphone, have you done this yet?
