I was being sarcastic, Alexandria. He is here solely to be contentious. Just rest in the knowledge that he is, and always will be...that guy who lurks in a women's issues forum picking fights over breasts and other such matters. It kind of takes his power to be obnoxious away, doesn't it? He's like one of those little dogs, which at first keep yipping and they're annoying, but then they just amuse you.
wow were all the underlinings really necessary? also, it was quite insulting to imply that her opinion wasn't important
In many situations this is a fact, advertising is most famous for using the womens body, whether breast of hips as a tool to sell a product. Personally I do not agree with this tactic, and I feel it is in poor tatse and degrading to all women. Ok, so I'm a nudist, and find naude breasts to be natural as any other part of the body. Big, small, perky, or flabby makes no difference they are part of the human body. Whether male or female, they can be flaunted as a sexual tool so to speak, or or just there. Depends on the individual person and how the present themselves. One example, last weekend I was at a nudist resort, during my first hour I noticed a woman who arrived after I did. both nipples were perced and rather large studs with bright yellow smiles were present. This obviously wasn't the norm because within minutes they asked her to leave and she wanted to know why. Turns out resort policy restricts Breast jewelery and genital rings of any kind. It draws to much attention to those parts of the body, whether male or female. Being a human male I do have to agree with their policy, especially with that particular case, 50 feet away 3 yellow smiles jump right out at you.
Yawn... you know, sadeyedlady, I have to say that what you say is quite useless... I'm not here "solely to be contentious" and to pick "fights over breasts" or what ever else your childish reasoning may decide is my motivation for "lurking" here. Simply put, a number of theories put forward here--and by feminists in general--are erroneous to one degree or another, and therefore should be open to criticism. In particular from men. Now, in regards to this "picking fights" quip. I'm not sure how it is you can honestly say that I "picked a fight" when all I was doing was asking Maggie Sugar to substantiate her "facts". Have you not done this with me? And do you think you were picking a fight when you were? No, of course not. So just give it a rest. You have to admit, though, that he theories were pretty hairbrained and contradictory, so if you were in a similar position with me, you no doubt would have been hounding me about it.
why has this thread become petty commotion... So what if jiimaan posts here, maybe you're upset about it because he makes valid points.. And if you don't like what he says, there is a thing called the ignore feature we now have if you cant simply do it yourselves..
honestly, i think that the reason why breasts are so fascinating to men is that they don't usually have them. therefore they are ver indicative of the OTHER sex.
I created the thread Breat Implants/Cosmetic surgery and welcome anyone to read it,reply or pm me regarding that topic- breasts are sensual, sacred and do help define a woman- but they are too oversexed at times- and too much emphasis is put on something meant for a childs nourishment....even though I like my NATRUAL non-enhanced pair.
i personally don't entirely know why i like them. i guess it's because they are squishy. probably if you saw them on a daily basis, no one would care.
I really don't think that if we saw womens breast that the would become less wonderful, or less attractive, but just more realistic. Our society has a very strange idea of what breast look like, and I think that if we saw them in daily life that we woudl still appreciate them, but not idolize them, and not objectify them. I know I still think men chest (or breast) are the bees knees!
Sorry, I wasn't underlining anything. My laptop has spyware and it installed something like "locaters" that underline alot of things with out me doing anythig... I have tried to stop it... by downloading something called spybot search and destroy and ... Adware lavasoft, but its not really doing anything because once i restart the computer the locaters come back.. I guess it has multiple copies, i don't know how to remove it... I am sort of an IT guy but I fear going into my system files and removing them.. its sort of dangerous for the computer. Well, i said more than you need to know.. or even care, but oh well, thanks for reading ha!
No one has yet to prove that the human female breasts are solely intended for feeding, though. Certain people who have an agenda, obviously feel that breasts are solely meant for feeding, but given that human female breasts differ in regards to all other mammals, suggests that breasts have a biologically-rooted dual purpose.
Well, i don't really think that any part of te body, male of female, has soley one purpose. That seems absured to me. But, as I have stated before, breast are not a sexual organ anymore than other parts of the body are! I mean, my feet are not just for walking. My mouth is not just for eating, my yoni, and men's penises are not just for the act of sex. The main use for female breasts are for nursing children (which, btw, I am using mine for at the moment...*awe* sweet, sleepy baby trying to nurse and type with her feet at the same time, isn't she cute?) That is what they do, naturally. Breasts produce milk. You haven't given us any proof that they are for any other purpose, either, other than that it feels good when they are touched during sex, and that men are attracted to them. That doesn't prove anything!
If you go back to cave man days large breasts meant better baby raising possibilities. So cave men looked for large breasted women because their offspring would have a better chance. The instinct still carries on today. -CB
I asked this of another person here, and not surprisingly, they wouldn't answer. If a man came up to you and grabbed your breast, how would you feel? Violated? I should think so. I do believe that this constitutes sexual assault, wouldn't you say? The breast is a sexual organ. Having your breast fondled is quite different than having your foot or hand fondled. The sexual stumulus that one receives from having ones breast fondled is hormonal, hence biological--not cognitive. If anything, women who don't feel sexually aroused by having their breasts fondled are reacting cognitively. Society has traditionally inhibited female sexuality and has made the breast taboo. Interestingly, feminists who erroniously argue that breasts are not sexual organs are trying to return us to this previous prudish state.
Actually, That's true the "main intention" is for producing milk- but I enjoy it when my breasts are touched. If a guy walked up to me and fondled them -I do not know however how I would react-or if I would think it violated me...Let me explain, see, It depends on what the guy looked like and if I was into him...it depends on what time of the month it was for me...It depends on who he was or wasn't in my life- It depends...-lol- I mean if u asked a girl that question more specificly-then they could give a more honest answer..
i think he meant any random joe, be it a teacher in a class, or the person who bumps into you on the street and asks you the time.....
I personally wouldn't want some random guy touching my breasts...or my stomach, or my head, or my foot, or any part of my body for that matter.
Being a nursing mother, my breasts are "foundaled" all day long! I don't even notice when someone bumps into them. I have had people tap me on the breast, or grab me by the breast when reaching for my shoulder or arm. It's not a big deal, I'm not embarrassed (though, they are,) I just laugh! It is not sexual assult, and I certanily do not have a sexual response!!! (Even when someone is even touching my genitals in a non-sexual manner (like a midwife, or GYN) it is not sexual.) Don't get me wrong, I love to have my breasts touched, etc., during sex, but that is completely different. Just because your body is used for sex, doesn't make it soley sexual! This is so simple, I really cannot believe that anyone who honestly wants to hear and know about this could disagree. I guess those aren't the people who are arguing, though.
release the twins! we can't help it. it's like baboons that are attracted to big asses. so big boobs means more desirable genes. it's a primate thing. now release
