I don't deny it. I'm well aware of it. I'm born and raised in a ghetto. But you will never hear me deny that because that upbringing made me who I am today. But it never seems to go really into the white subculture. They listen to the same rap music. They do the same as we do.But I always see rap music as the thing to look at. Look at what's promoted in white culture. I see crimes happening in all places, but where is the emphasizes at? What degree of violence is a school shooting? Or shooting an unarmed man 41 times? It happens on both sides and I'm not blind to that. I see the struggles, I see the sterotypes on both sides and I go through each day, praying for a change.
I hope that one day i will not be stopped by four cops in a one mile walk to see why I'm walking to the store for food, or to be put in cuffs for looking the most "dangerous" in a car full of people, or attacked by three white men for being in an interracial marriage and a cop saying "Well, what do you expect us to do about it?" I hope that cops will stop harrassing my friends for not looking "conservative" white, just as much as I want them to stop harrassing me for being black.

I get accused of racism when I respond with those types of questions.

" I just can't get over when you walk into a store or walking down the street and you hear people talking in another language. You have no idea what their saying they could be talking about you or something else."

seems you got some insecurity issues to deal with...
FEAR FEAR FEAR... we're all out to get you
our lives revolve around talking about you

I don't see this country catering to minorities, and I'm saying this as someone who happens to be white.

If people are speaking a language other than me, so what? They're not talking to me anyway. Besides, people have spoken behind my back in English.

Look on the bright side. One day you'll be able to sue to someone because you're white and being discriminated as a minority group. Latino's will be the majority within a few decades and we'll all be speaking spanish.

    2 words: PRIVILEGE CHECK.

I'm sorry, it's just that whenever I hear whites talking about being "oppressed", it makes me laugh (and the white people who say this sort of thing are usually also male and straight.). And I am white myself, and also fully aware of the privilege I have in this country as a white person. So please..check your privilege at the door.

Stereotyping is often confused with racism when the two are different. It's a subtle difference, but it does matter. The problem is, that racists tend to stereotype all the time which makes it hard to seperate a racists stereotype from somebody just making an observation.

Southerners never imported blacks for slave labor. Blacks were imported by northern merchants and shipped south. A grammar school textbook will have this nice little triangle you can look at.

Within the sciences of history and archaeology we are very much agreed that something as "the greatest culture" or "the greatest civilization" is a non-existent notion based entirely upon subjectivity and etnocentrism. Etnocentrism indeed being judging the world by comparison with your own culture or people, obviously thought as superior (see also racism).

Besides, how do you know what the ancient Greeks may have thought? They're all dead, remember?

I would like to add that all racists should be mercilessly shot to death from real close.

    this is terrible!!!!

it's unbelievable. i was just wondering the other day. i wonder when it'll just be normal to be black. there was me thinking its got to be pretty soon right?. and then this thread is full of suff that harks back to centuries ago.

but then i think the same thing about war. and theres this fucking hick george bush up there. and now i am thinking... why are we all so fucked up?!

    why do stupid people exist?

honistly what is the point in stpuid people?

am i being prejudice against stupid people? or uncompassionate to the fact that they do not have a mind of their own?, and just spout out whatver theyheard someon else say??

it is more important now than ever, that we all take the initiative to think for ourselves...and never repeat or imitate somone else.

for crying out loud.... i know we're all conditioned and influenced in life..but some things about life make it worth needing attention paid to individual thought processes and a sense of self.

i think ive just had an ephinany.

theres no way we can be a 'one world' or 'whole person' if we can't take a stand on our own, and reach out over the edge...across all these basically, immature 'thoughts'

and theres more to life than having a thought. i ownder if some people even know they are thining/
obviously not if they just reggurgatate the shit they swallow.

hyprocrites, stay together alll you like but for your own sake please... take a look outside the box, break the mould... look around....wake up!
