My sister is a workoholic and basically I have to take care of her 7 year old daughter. Lately she's curious about penises and wants to feel my bf's penis. What should I do, she's very stubborn and throws tantrums if I refuse.
Obviously you can't let her. Perhaps talk to your sister about her daughter's curiousity and see what she wants to tell her or let you tell her. In the mean time, explain to her that people aren't allowed to touch each other's privates. No one is allowed to touch her there, and she isn't allowed to touch others. Her mother should really talk to her about sex and the differences between the sexes. And you should really have an understanding with your sister before you talk to her daughter about it. I would not be happy if anyone aside from me talked to my children about sex. Just make sure she knows that her daughter is curious and if she gives you the green light, understand how far she wants you to explain it.
While I a very open talking to children about sex, letting a child touch a person's genitals is definately OFF LIMITS. It makes me wonder WHY she would even want to do this. What kind of day care enviroment was she in before. It is her mama's job to explain sex. There is an other thread here about talkng to children about sex, look around for it. But NO TOUCHING. I hope this little girl is OK. Curiosity is normal. Throwing a tantrum because she was told she can't touch a grown man's penis would really worry me. Maybe time to have a sit down talk with her mama.
