Should a state issue a state wid test to each school to see how each is performing? Yes, I think it's a good way to see what schools need improvment. But funding shouldn't be decreased, that just makes no sense.

How well did your school do? Looks like their funding should be cancelled entirely!

A definite no, because your IQ has got NO ties at all with your education. Your IQ is how easily you learn the things you are taught, while the school decides what the children will be taught and how much effort will be put into making sure they understand and memorise what they are taught.

    I guess.

^True that Slutter. It's to the point where alot of teachers/schools do nothing but teach the test and that's it. The kids are put under tremendous pressure to really just regurgitate rather than actually learn. This would seem to fall in line though with indoctrination and essentially brainwashing by taking it that one step further into limitation on what's taught. I have a cousin who's a hs teacher and I hear her frustrations often. She could be a great teacher but is limited in scope by these standardized tests and the threat of losing reliable income.
