So I'm heading from the icey wastes of the yukon to montreal, and I was wondering if anyone had any useful advice (other than learn french). That and I need to find cheap accomodations in a decent neighborhood, so advice on nice areas would be good. I'm living in a tent for the summer until I get there, its gonna be sweet!

It's kinda hard to buy a decent appartement in montreal because they cost a lot. You should live in a city near Montreal just like. I live in Laval, it takes me 40 minutes in public transport to get to Montreal's downtown.

I live in what's called the West Island of Montreal. You can always get a cheaper apartment in the sunburbs.
