I want to begin beading or macrame regularly. I have done both before, and I know I could always just do both, but I want to do one and stick with it. (Does that make any sense?) Anyway, my question is this: Which is cheaper in the long run? Or are they about the same?
I don't know alot about either. If I were wondering about that though,I would try searching out the materials needed for each and start comparing the prices on the supplies/materials. Also, search these forums...sometimes people post links to companies that sell supplies at good prices. I am thinking of this because I think I remember someone posting a link to a good bead company not long ago. Anyways....keep us updated because I wouldn't mind getting into both at some point(I like the variety )
After searching around, I have come to the conclusion that macrame will be cheaper--but only slightly. The total of beading supplies comes to about $2 more than macrame supplies, but you get more supplies when you buy the macrame stuff. (Of course, this theory DOES depend on what you're buying, if you're buying beads in bulk, etc. --- I know it doesn't make much sense, but search and see. )
