    hey, im doing a project for english class in which im walking around the city, going into stores and stuff without shoes and documenting it. im sure ill get into a few arguments so does anyone knows any laws about stuff like not wearing shoes in restraunts in canada? or just any good way to persuade people would be nice :)

    Well considering that there are no state laws or health codes against it anywhere here in the USA, I would be shocked if it was against the law anywhere in Canada, since you guys seem to be much less uptight and paranoid than we are down here :)

    hey there IS NO state laws on being barefoot in a public place? what about those shoes and shirt required signs?? In many stores I get in trouble for being barefoot

    Those are made up by the stores themselves. Even the ones that say 'shoes required by state law' or 'shoes required by the Health Dept', they are simply fake. In some states you can get the ones that falsely claim to be 'required by law' removed if you call the health dept on them, but as long as it doesn't say that, any store can put signs requiring almost anything (apart from the race/religion/etc things) no matter whether there's a law backing them up or not.
