I was wondering if any of the crocheters (sp?) on here would be willing to write out this pattern in dumb-people language.....? I think that I have the first half figured out, but then I'm lost. I feel like I'm trying to make sence of gibberish. I understand the basic stitches......but there's one on there (the fancy stitch) i dont' know and i can't find on the web. thanx to anyone who takes their time out to do this for me! http://web.archive.org/web/20011030180128/www.cei.net/~vchisam/groovy/mt4-bikini.html
Well, for the bottom, i would just crochet it to the dimensions of the picture.... as for the rest of it, beats me. I can never interpret crochet gibberish.
here's sort of what i figured out, i'm not the most amazing crochet savvy person though. However I do know the stitches, and can read the patterns exceptionally well... what i got from the pattern is that when you do the fancy stitch, you are adding onto the already established piece, so to what you already have you are going to do one double crochet followed by one chain and then you'll skip a stitch. this repeats for each row. when you move to the neext row, the double crochet will be done between the double crochet of the previous row. i think that it would look something like this... ~ Double Crochet + Chain one @ Skipped stitch ~ + @ 1st row @ + ~ 2nd row ~ + @ 3rd row @ + ~ 4th row ~ + @ 5th row kinda lacy looking to me. hopefully this helps....
