... and will continue to be so til 2006 so it seems. any tips on saving money / eating cheaply / blagging that could come in handy over the coming 7 months of skintness? Thanks
I will be skint till the 23rd shop at kwick save. i actualy thought you was going to talk about the TV show 'skint' that is a tragy-comedy .. you may even get some tips claire ?. http://forum.digitalspy.co.uk/board/showthread.php?t=211290
Yeh stopping smoking is a very good point... smoking sucks... it ages you and gives you illnesses and makes you skint! Silly Claerie Yep, the organic food is out, way too expensive. Am I still allowed to drink water? I can't go dial up til the contract runs out in July... but yeh good idea ta, will do that in july When I first moved outof home I used to live on £38 a week, and that had to pay for travel to and from work / food / water rates / electric and gas too... fuck knows how I did it :S Always had enough to get pissed on a Friday and a Saturday night too! £5 for 3 pints / 10 cigs and bus fare home! Those were the days
Does anyone owe you money? Time to call it in. Go busking in Huddersfield town centre. Do we have Ramen noodles in the UK? American friends have always recounted their poor college days of eating Ramen noodles. I gues pot noodles could be similar, or maybe super noodles. If you're creative (like me) or partially insane (like me), you can get a lot of tasty meals from simple super noodles and a few more ingredients. Try adding curry powder to them whileyou're boiling them up, then draining them and adding chopped up pickled onions, them putting them into a tortilla wrap. Delicious and cheap every time!
i used to live on cheap pasta and chopped tomatoes... and kwik save noodles... they were cheaper than super noodles... hehe
thats not a bad idea, well potato anyway... potatoes and beans / spag and chopped toms.... well cheap and tasty
pasta, potatoes, tinned tomatoes, onions... other random vegetables like courgettes and marrows.. if you can find a friend with a vegetable patch.. thats always a bonus.. they love giving vegetables away..... or cryogenic freezing
