I nearly did it when I was younger. I was inspired after reading the book "The Barrios of Manta" by Rhoda Brooks. Quite inspiring, though these days there is less hope than back then, especially with AIDS (of which tonights news reports that 38% of the population of Tanzania has AIDS!!
