I don't see why God, if there is one, would say that you have to be of christian faith in order to pass into heaven, if that exists either. It is a waste. There are billions of people on this earth and so many different religions why would God send everyone who doesn't beleive into hell? The factor that should decide whether you make it into such a place would have to be one being a good person. Hell is used as a scare tactic to make people believe in chrtistianity. It's never good to feel forced into do something out of fear. If heaven exists a fair god would take account of your life and asess it accordingly. If you are an overall good person, you should be accepted. I don't think it should be like a club that you you have to be a member in order to get in. Heaven is for all good rational humans. Does anyone else see what I'm trying to convey?

i was reading about this recently and the problem of the rural family in timbuku who was never even told about jesus and the whole of christianity, and so whom pretty much had no chance of ever making it to heaven. likewise, in the immediate years following christ, it's obvious that the rest of the world was still "in the dark" about the Word, right? so were they just all screwed because of their geographical handicap?

anyhow, so this one book i was reading went on about how god judges the people who haven't been told about jesus in another way, sort of funky mind-reading, where he just figures out what you WOULD have chosen if you'd been given the chance. which is very debatable and brings up all sorts of questions about free will and the like. a big ol' load of hogwash, if you ask me.

God is the only person who lets anyone in heaven. Alot of mainstream christians have put the world into two catagories "hell bound" and "heaven bound" they should of never done this. Its not their choice to say where you are going. If you deny God then you have no right to be in heaven. Becaues it is his house ya know? I'm not God and it ain't my say so yeah...I should be worried about my salvation not theirs. By this i don't mean i should just let them walk into hell...But I should do my part and when i'm done I should never go "well hes going to hell".

But if God doesn't give any kind of evidence on this earth to prove that he exists, how can he send a person who has never harmed anyone, and is a good person who helps out people and gives to charity and what have you to hell because you don't beleive in his elitist religion? I really don't think faith in one religion is the way to make it. If it were it'd be like playing roulette with you soul. Hope you picked the right number.

i've thought about this issue as well, and as i'm not christian (i'm pagan) i've gotten some harrassment from christians, being told that i'm headed for hell and that i'm a minion of satan and carry out his evil deeds. i even once got told to "go get burned". i'd never say something horrible like that to a christian or anyone of any other religion, and i'd never want to hurt anyone! i just think it's important for all humans to be good to one another, animals, and the environment. as far as heaven goes, if it exists, i don't see why god would disclude genuinely good people.

God's love is not conditional, but this doesn't stop humans from pretending it is- as a mere projection of our lack of love for each other.
