It looks pretty much like Bush is swinging it to starting The Draft again.
If you are Drafted-will you go?

I really doubt the draft will be re-instated, but if it is I'll definately be rolling a fattie boombattie out of my draft card and smoking it.

 

I'm got nothing really to back this up besides logic, but I reckon think this war is too unpopular to even contemplate a draft, so I can't realistically see that it will happen any time soon.

If enough people refuse though it will cause a massive problem, I don't know a great deal about the support for or against it, but I can't see it being possible to implement (instinctively), if 20% of the population refused what the fuck are they gonna do, put everyone in prison?? ... Maybe it'll just be the dumb ass people that accept it that will go... bit like a voluntary call up?? hmmm... ?

 

I am not old enough yet, but in a little more than a year i would be. There is no way in hell i would go. I would rather die avoiding it rather than being shipped off over there.
The people who are not there already most likely would'nt be very happy being forced to go. It would cause some really serious protests.

 

I doubt there will be a draft, but it's a possibility. Luckily, I live in Canada and will not be going anywhere. If I lived in the US, I would not go.

actually, the army will recruit almost anyone but gays now... they have to like advertise and give incentives for almost anyone to even consider joining now a days,

but this 17 year old kid noticed how slack they have been getting and emailed them just to find out how easy it was to get in, and he told them he didnt have a high school diploma, and they told him how to fake one, and then he told them he was a drug addict, and they told him how he could get in with that too, then he told them he was gay, and they would not let him in anymore....

 

just makes you wanna puke. Really how low do they get. I heard they were trying to get hold of seniors from highschool and talk about joining. Parents said they were getting strange calls form people they did'nt know asking for their kids and when they asked who is this they hung up.

 

Actually, the majority of the people supporting the war(s) wouldn't think of going or sending their kids any more than those us who are anti-war. Look at the members of the present administration who clamored for war after dodging Vietnam. They just sit back, let the lower class kids die, and check their Halliburton stock.

I have a mental disability and my brother is blind in one eye, so my mom says she got lucky cause they couldn't take us if they wanted to! I wouldn't go anyway... I don't know how I'd avoid it but I wouldn't want to o and I'd faint if I had to touch a gun!
