...to have these events get you pregnant?

    a. on BC but accidently took the placebo a week before and did not have a period.
    b. Have sex, only with the now screwed up BC only using the second least effective method of control (pull out since prayer is even less effective) the day that you would have started your period in reality.

On a side note... how long did it take for you to realize you were?

I kinda did those two things a well, I want to have a kid with this guy. I mean deep in love and what not. Already wanting to get married (both of us) and we've known each other for 3 months, even though it feels longer.

Did you take the sugar pills FOR an entire week, or just ONE a week before your period? I didn't understand.

With the newer, low dose BC pills, even missing one day is reason to use a reliable back up method, like a condom.

You can take a pregnancy test within a day or so of missing your period. Use first morning urine, First Response is the one you can use the earliest (some womyn can get a true reading before they miss their period, others won't.)

I took the week for the pills the week before. Took all the placebos because otherwise I throw my mind off balance. I always look to where my last one was taken and just take the one next to it. My real perio would have started yesterday and the sex was on Sunday.

We would have used a condom but we weren't even planning on having sex period. It was just one of those time that even with the heat of the moment it felt right and what not.

But yeah I took the entire week of placebo pills the week before my period. I hope that helps out.

If your period would have normally started on Monday, and you had unprotected sex the day before that (Sunday) the chance of you being pregers is slim. Your cycle was at the very end. Peak fertility is in the middle of the cycle

Think of your uterous as a piece of fruit. Too soon? it's hard and unripe. Too late? It's over ripe and too mushy. Your uterous was at the end of the cycle, and too "mushy".

Take a test in a couple days if you still haven't started, but judging from the "facts", I doubt it.

Well now it doesn't goddamn matter. I wanted it and I didn't get it. It sucks. Why couldn't I have just been able to get something that I wanted?

Did you want the baby, hon? I am assuming you got your period just now.

Talk to your man, this is a good decision to make together.

Good luck, I hope things work out for you.

She's sitting in my room, atm. She's really upset. She did want a baby. She feels that she and her boyfriend are ready for a baby.

I think, though, given time, she'll feel better about this. She just got her hopes up. She'll be ok. She sees him again tomorrow. I think that will help. And she'll talk to him tonight, like she does every night. :)

Yeah I did really want it. I just talked to him between his jobs and he said that he was wanting on too but the only thing that made him cautious was the fact we're both students. I get to talk to him on the phone tonight, probably will end up breaking down a bit and do the same tomorrow. But yeah right before two I got my period. Not the happiest person right now.

Don't get sad about not being pregnant after just 1x unprotected sex... while yes, it *can* happen when you miss just one pill, getting pregnant is definitely not a sure one-time thing either (thank God for those of us who don't want to be pregnant, imagine if every accident/forgotten pill lead to a pregnancy!) I know many people who've been trying for several months, without taking any bc at all. Just give it a little time.

I'm sorry you are dissapointed, Mono. If you and your man want a baby, there is plenty of time to keep trying.

I know it is hard when it is what you wanted.

Having a baby is a decision a couple should make together. I understand the disappointment when you thought you may have accidentaly become pregnant and liked the idea, only to find you wern't. But now you and your boyfriend have the opportunity to do some family planning, take advantage of it!

This is true. I went off the pill 5 months ago and my husband and I only used the pull out method and now we are just lazy and only pull out about 30% of the time. Well it must be during the time that I am fertile because I am still not pregnant. Although we "plan" on getting pregnant anywhere from 3 months from now to a year, we are both okay if it happens now. I know that it can be disappointing when you get your period and you were hoping to be pregnant...that has happened to me before but now I just think that it will happen when the time is right. Don't worry and don't rush....talk to your partner and see how he feels.
