Hey guys ~ I just made my first mosaic two days ago and i'm hooked! So i was wondering if anyone else was into mosaics on this site (browsed around and didn't read anything about them). Feel free to post pictures of any mosaic projects you've done on this thread if you want. Oh, i was also curious if anyone knew any good sites to order affordable glass and what-not from. (Although i do "scavenge" most of my material)...
I love doing mosaics...i started about 2 1/2 years ago, i can't bring myself to sell any of my projects! I posted a few pics of things i've done not to long ago....i'll look and see what page they were on and let ya know!
man, i totally forgot about doing mosaics! I used to make them in big murals on my walls when I was younger. I think I'm going to start up with it again! thanx tatooedaquarian!!!

Awesome tray! ~ I've actually been thinking of making something with some fishies on it for my sister who is a proud Pisces... I do want to put on my first project but my boyfriend's computer is down and so it's hard for me to get access to a computer and load or scan pictures and what-not (I'm usuing my school's computer right now) I do plan to post when i get a chance though ...
I "googled around" for cheap mosaic supplies and stumbled upon this site: http://www.mosaictilearts.com/ It seems pretty cool ~ I think it's reasonably priced but let me know if i'm getting ripped off please!
I can get a sheet of about 140 tiles for like $3.95 or something....once u get into yellows and reds they're more expensive. I just get them from a local store that does flooring. Just find a store in your area and maybe ask if they have some out back that someone maybe didn't want and u could ge them cheap...my boyfriend will usually give me about 10 sheets of tiles around my birthday or christmas, i don't think i've actually had to buy any on my own yet lol. Even big ceramic tiles can be smashed and they look awesome.
I made a mosaic out of this old birdbath last night ~ Put a yin-yang symbol in the top part bordered with some rocks. I took some pictures of it but, once again, will be a little while 'til i'm able to post a picture of it...
