how hard would u have to chop someone in that adams apple for it to be fatal. i dont wanan kill anyone.
few things in life are certain. what is certain is that you can go to jail for striking someone like that, unless of course they attack you first in front of witnesses. there are plenty of better ways of disarming most attackers. it is not necessary to risk so much.
A punch to the nose. Bending the elbow in the opposite direction. Kicking the knees. These are the simplest ones if you don't want to hurt them or do anything fancy that requires a lot of contact. What else... Learn how to properly dodge or block a punch/kick/grab. It's always more convinient to respond to an opponent's attack rather than start your own, since he will already be in the momentum which you can use against him. For example, a punch directs a lot of force forward. If you dodge it, you can easily use that force to bring the opponent down. Same with a kick.
there is that whole thing about how if you take the bottem of your palm and force it up into someones nose. People say it jams a bone into your brain and kills you. not true. But it does break the nose really bad and hurts immensly. That would work. Take advatage of the joints and opposite directions. That throat thing... when being attacked, doens't hurt to try. If they have a weapon then legally you can even kill them. So if you want, just keep trying until you're satisfied.
I doubt it would kill them, but it'd definatly break the nose if done correctly. In addition to that, any open-palmed attack to the face has strong psychological effects. Basically, unless you're up against a really experienced fighter, the fear alone may harm him. I've seen this happen and the effects are very surprising.
What exactly do you mean by that? I'm not preparing to fight anyone, but it made me curious as to what you are describing.
In my martial arts class, they describe the open palmed attack to the face as a "psychological attack". Basically, the human brain sees something coming toward the face quickly and immediatly goes into a defensive, scared form. For most people, this will immediately cause great stiffness in the body and may even cause breathing problems if done correctly. My brother was once fighting a guy who was an expert on these kinds of attacks and with no heavy contact (no punches, chokes, etc.) he stopped breathing almost completly, just out of instinctive fear. Basically, it was the same as being choked. I am no expert, so I can't explain exactly how this happens and how to do it properly. Obviously, such a strong effect would not be caused by an amateur, but it's still a very effective technique. Any tension and fear in the oponent is an immediate advantage to you, and it's very easy to bring a person down after that initial shock.
Thanks for explaining. I think that's so interesting...how things can psychologically affect people, especially during fights.
