Yes,that's brilliant...and they can put all the commercials on that channel and leave the rest commercial-less
The sad thing is, I'd probably enjoy that channel...haha. When I was a baby I used to ignore tv completely, except for commercials and when a commercial came on, I'd be mesmerized for that 30 seconds. We have pictures...haha. I wonder if that was a bad sign...
Thanks, Wonder Girl - I thought it was a good idea. Some one should write a letter. It may be sad, Kinky Ramona, but not that sad. There may be millions such as yourself. In fact the concept might really fly; they could even sell advertisements on the Commercial Channel. (It will need an image and a logo.) When I was a child, the whole family gathered around the tube. When a commercial came on, we cut the TV off, and after a sufficient amount of time elapsed, we cut it on again.
I probably gave a horrid impression of myself with that comment, I'm not a tv junky by any means, I barely watch television at all. But, I just thought it was amusing as a child I loved commercials. Some commercials are rather amusing. Oddly enough, my ex-boyfriend's uncle is a producer and he's done a lot of commercials...we have him to thank for all of those annoying cartoon commercials about Clearasil. Ack...lol
lol Maggie,I thought of the same.... And Daniel...if you write a letter,I'll get a petition going to send along with it
_If we dump all the commercials into one channel all the others channel would basically have to find another way to advertise & survive. Ads can be annoying but they support the channels. /visual communication, graphic designer & advertising bachelor steps off the soapbox
I have no idea...lol. Possibly...I don't know if there are any other animated Clearasil commercials. I never met the producer, though, he lives in New York and I wasn't allowed to visit while he was in town, lol.
I woudnt watch that channel.. But a channel full of infomercials I would watch.. Im always amazed by infomercials
Late night infomercials are the reason why I'm not allowed to have access to any sort of credit card. Some of those things make me temporarily lose judgement and I decide I must have these useless products. It's either excellent marketing skills, or subliminal messages, man.
I just don't turn on my tv late at night anymore. I function much better with very little sleep, anyway, it seems.
My grand dad called TV the tool of the devil; and while to some that might seem quaint, rustic humor, few in this day and age have made the connection between "the Prince of the power of the air" (the devil) & modern communications 'air waves'. Bad things can be communicated: and people generally have a propensity for adopting slogans, attitudes, and mindsets. But hey - about sleep: I once read that the smarter a person is, the more sleep he or she requires. I adopted that when I used to sleep alot. Don't have much use for that information now - I have trouble sleeping late on the weekends.
i think we should change to the south african way, some of the movie channels have interupted viewing, and some channels, rather than having adverts, they have music videos in between! how coool is that!
