Arrrgh. Ever have a bad hair day? Ever have a bad hair YEAR? It's frustrating, because most commercial hair care products & cosmetics are either animal-tested or they contain, like, pig fetus or something. What are the alternatives? Do any of you make your own homemade shampoo/conditioner?

on one of PETA's zillions of sites, they have a list of animal ingredients.
I like Sundog and while they made it, Merry Hempsters.

I was hoping to avoid them. They always end up ruining my day. I used to use Pantene, and then someone told me it has placenta in it. Isn't that, um, infant goo? [IMG] There's no telling what they dump in the broth.

I knew a girl who made her own conditioner out of fruits & stuff. I wish I paid attention... something like avocado & soy milk & some other stuff. I took a swig of it once. Yummy.

some things are labeled "vegetarian friendly" or "vegetarian approved" if you watch labels in the naturals section or stores.

I'm gonna buy Jasons shampoo(already have a lotion), they don't do animal testing, and have natrual and organic ingredients and no animal by-products. Gotta love that!
You can buy it in health stores.
