Yeh, hate is such a strong word.... but TV is evil and consumerist.... im watching big brother at the moment, god damn.... some of the people they have on it are driving me insane, that are helariously awful...
The TV is ok for me sometimes only I like music better... the TV messes with my mind and at times it disturbs me and I have to turn it off.. to much fighting and all the current events mess with my mind. rather not know what is going on.
TV, as it is now, is a disgrace and a great shame. TV has great potential for good, imagine if the Dalai Lama had guided meditation on tv every morning, the news reported the facts, advertisers didn't play mind tricks, and told you facts, educational programming was not biased.
the shows on tv are slacking, but i watch it.. im not gonna lie.. if you hate tv, there is an off button...
More and more of the shows on TV just don't appeal to me at all. I watch TV very occasionally for The Weather Channel, breaking news, sports once in a while, and not much more. I find myself watching more DVDs of movies and spending more time reading novels. I also find that now that I don't watch so much TV, I am in better physical shape. I'm doing more walking and eating less junk food.
8 yrs. ago, I moved in here.... and never did set up the tv. I dont watch much TV, only the INFORMERCIALS, Sadly I admit at times sitting up at 3 AM, and watching someone turn Carrots, Celery, Onions, Radishes, maybe some Beets......into juice.....with the Juice Master 5000, or some stupid shit. I watched that juice machine show for a half hour once...Didn't have any choice living in a sleeping room and getting one TV station. I would have Credit Card Maxed from those 'Miracle Items' on TV at like 2AM.
