why did you feel the need to post this remark. No it is not witty and it has no place on the music forum. So shut up and stop trying to impress us with your "cultured music taste"

90% of underground is crap, i hate ppl who try to defend rap purely with underground music, there are the gems once in a while, but most underground even the shit ALOT of ppl like is still crap

it's all the pointless punch line rapping with no meaning and words which sound good together/rhyme but have no structure what so ever

Rap is a powerful method of sociopolitical expression, although I cannot say the same about a lot of "rock" you hear on MTV. But, hey, I listen to emo... so I better not hate on anybody's preference.

    LOOK PEOPLE
the creator of this thread, obviously isnt really a hippie, (s)he's prolly just some lonely republican asshole who has nothing better to do than promote narrow-mindedness, he wants us to respond harshly and get agitated by this. Just ignore it...

i agree with u... but it takes alot less time and energy to justify rap with underground, than to justify rap on its own merits

Who do you listen to that's underground? It all depends on the person...some people like pop rap or what comes on the radio. Some people like to listen to witty punchlines while others like the political type. It is up to the inidvidual. Calling any music garbage, in general, is ignorance. Just because you don't like it doesn't make it crap.
