1. The Hipforums announces it first ever fundraiser. After nearly 30 years online, we must ask our members and guests to help support the website. Thanks to years of ongoing financial support of our members, advertisers and volunteer admin staff, we have been able to keep the forums alive.

Now we must ask for help as available funds have all been used for our Internet server and other fees.

So please donate any amount to our PayPal account donate@Hipforum.com to keep the site going. If we can get enough for a few months fees, we won't need to nag you again!

And neither do I. I do think of it as having more merit than creationism.

Look at the reasoning behind adding it to the pledge, then look at the text of the establishment clause

sorry just getting into this post..

damn you could get a nice lawsuit if you would have been suspended for not saying the pledge. i happen to say it and im one of the few that do because i love my country, but i love my country for being able to have freedoms like not saying the pledge in school if you choose not to. although people who get bitchey about it having the word god in it shoudl be shot thats such a petty little thing...

sure, religion was banned in soviet russia. We affirmed that people here, can, do, and will believe in god if they choose.

They also have a right to not choose god, and shouldn't have to worry about their children being forced to attend school where they are coerced by pressure from their peers and their instructor to declare that our nation exists under god.

We have the freedom of religion, not freedom from religion. No one is forced to do or say anything.

Sorry, thats just how it is.
