Hi , I'm new to this whole forum thing. So forgive me if i screw up. The reason i am posting this is to bring attention to a HUGE injustice going on in hte state of Maine. There has been an innocent young man in prison for almost 17 years. Dennis Dechaine was convicted of raping & murdering a 12 year old girl. Since day one Dennis has claimed his innocence & begged for DNA testing. The state refused. Since then there have been 2 DNA tests done- BOTH of which excludes Dennis- yet he is still sitting in prison while a guilty and dangerous man walks free. There is a group called Trial & Error - these people are dedicated to getting the State of Maine to give Dennis a new trial. A trial in which ALL evidence is presented to the jury ( the State had kept key information friom the jury in '88). A trial in which DNA evidence is presented ( in '88 the State denied the request of Dennis for DNA testing). A trial in which other suspects are mentioned to the jury ( in the 1st trial the State claims there were no other suspects- that was not the case). You can visit our web-site to learn more about this case; www.trialanderrordennis.org . I'd also suggest reading the book "Human Sacrifice" by James Moore (a retired ATF agent who thought Dennis could be quilty- until he started researching the book & came across the States shenannagins). Thanks to all for your time & hopefully for your support in this cause. You don't need to live in the State of Maine to make a difference in this case. Just visit our site & let your voice be heard! Sign our on-line petition urging D.A. Rowe to grant a new & fair trial.

If what you say is true, then that's bullshit. That's as bad as it gets, when someone is wrongfully imprisoned and the evidence to free them is denied. I will check out the site and help spread the word about this. I hope he sues the state of Maine for every dime he can get.
