Good gods! Either you ARE three years old, or you're...just not too worldly. I really hope for the former, believe me, but I'm pretty sure you know who he is as you were able to steriotype him just a moment ago. But just in case: Shakespeare was a great English poet who is know best for his plays Hamlet, a Midsummer night's dream, and Romeo & Juliet. If you're mocking the fact that I spelled Shakespeare wrong, then you really need something better to do w/ your time.

There I corrected it for you. Happy? Maybe you should look up the definition of "idiot" again. Anyone can hit the wrong button by mistake, but nobody who's not an idiot will berate someone for doing such. I'm going to stop bothering to talk w/ you now, as you are being completely childish & immature, have no grounds in calling me an idiot whatsoever, and are really just plain stubborn.

    Hey Oren...

I must say, you are quite articulate for a 13 year old. I'm impressed.

Anyways... sumtinbuggy is a troll. He is only here for one purpose, to piss as many people off as possible. And he seems to be working you pretty good. Ignore him completely. He has absolutely no intention of carrying on a rational, civil, discussion with you and you are getting frustrated and playing his game. Stop responding to him.

    :)

Nice synopsis, confessor. BY the way, what exactly do you confess? Did you have anything in mind when you created the screenname? Or was it just a screenname w/ no background behind it?

That's utter horse crap! And how long have you been in the real world yourself?? You are only 16 for gawds sake!!! Sure anyone CAN get along in life without qualifications but it damn well makes it so much more of a struggle!! Where's the point in making it tougher on yourself if you DO have the oppotunity right there for you to get your education?? Trying to take care of yourself, a place to live, gas bills, electricity bills, food, clothing, taxes, insurances, and the non-essentails that most people want to have; tv lisence, internet fees, telephone bills and all of that doesn't even start to cover all the fun things in life that cost money, nights out, eating out, cinema, pubs, gigs, festivals, holidays.....and if you end up having a family then you can multiply all of that (...if, that is, you stuck around in school long enough to find out how to....!!) It all costs money. And to get money you need a job. It's hard enough WITH good qualifications to find a job that pays well enough to afford all of that!! So to have little or no qualifications / education behind you is so much harder!! Not impossible, sure but SO much harder!!!

And yes I AM talking from experiance of both, once I left school and left my parents home (to live indipendantly) I had NO no qulifications, well no great grades anyway, I fluffed up my GCSE's. But since that I have retaken my GCSE's and got good grades this time, done several college courses (GNVQ Advanced Art in which I passed with a distiction, BSL Level 1 (sign lang) half way through BSL Level 2, Gateway to nursing....) and at the begining of a university Degree in Midwifery and with all this I still have to compete hard for opportunities!! BUT...what I have to fight hard for now, I would not have even stood a chance of before!! So, YES, qualifications DO mean something and DO help open up more and better opportunities for you!!!

Well, unless you intend to do nothing all your life, sitting on your arse all day smoking pot claiming state benefits untill retirement!

Great reply of Stasia..:) It's true..nowadays without a degree
in life..it's often fighting for a job opportunity..unless one tries
to parasite on society...there's no other option then to get some
    kind of diploma..me myself..I must say...finished a technical school
in chemistry in 1966..but in these days..I was such a rebel..
that I never used it..started travelling around in 1969..till 1976..
got married in 1977...and my qualifications for chemistry???gone..
Got a job in a local coalmine and stayed there till 1996..
    But..Stasia..is right..she's a real fighter in live.....and I have great
respect for her..she deserves admiration from all of us..
for her spirit and willpower...keep going on like that,Stasia..;)

Agree with Stasia on this. Life's hard....any help you can get in the struggle is well worth it.

okay woah, there are some varied opinions here.......... I personally beleive on a (moral?) level that formal education is not healthy nor wholesome... i have spent about 3 years in public school and didnt LEARN anything during that time except how to follow rules, and be very bored with the learning process.. i feel a bit similiar to flyziggy or whatever your name was (sorry i'm 2 lazy 2 go back & check!) when i was 13 i spent a year in public school smoking pot every day and being a rowdy ruckus causing kid (but i had a lot of fun) then after that i quit and read the book - the teenage liberation handbook by grace lewellyn. This book is about discovering your own individual learning process and different ways to get yourself submerged in that (sorry its hard to explain as i'm not in the mood to explain it). i descended into kind of a deppression but i used this to discover myself as a person . Now 17 I'm going back to get that stupid ass peice of paper (diploma) in the form of a Dogwood diploma,so i'm only doing 5 grade 12 courses instead of 28 or whatever the # is..i would say that the public schooling is important to employers etc.. so in order to feed a family etc.. later on in life its important to have that peice of paper, but i personally would suggest researching and talking to people about the different shortcuts you can take thru the school system.......... so i hope eveything goes well 4 you!

Ok it took me what seemed like 20 minutes to find this, but it is from the "how did you pick your screen name" thread:

From the song "The Confessor" by Joe Walsh.

    I like Joe Walsh.
I really like Pink Floyd, but I'm planning on using the Dark Side cover as an avatar when I get enough posts in.
After that I guess it would be Heart, Fleetwood Mac, and Pat Benatar.
Tom Petty's in there somewhere ...

And now I forgot what I was going to say :)
I initially returned to this thread to disect my first post. I realize now it sort of leaned to the "drop out and turn on" rational. What I meant to say was if you don't care for school, it ain't gonna do you much good. You can atttend classes till you butt is full of splinters and your knees are covered with bubble gum, if the subjects on the board don't interest you, you may as well go elsewhere and find something that does.
Once in a while I find something that intrigues me, and I persue it. Sometimes I go too far or spend too much time on it, other times not enough. The ideation I intended to convey is if it fits you. wear it. If it doesn't, you're dooming yourself to disappointment.

And that's all I have to say about that.

Except 3 credits to Thesaurus, 3 to Dictionary, and 1 to a combination of the two ....
