Hi, I was wondering if anyone's been to Noosa/Sunshine Beach area of queensland, or anywhere around there and what it's like as a place to live. Is there enough live music, bookshops, the odd rave and things like that to get up to, or do people find it a bit boring after a while as it's all "show" and no substance like some tourist destinations?
I live in Eumundi about 15 minutes from Noosa. Although i'm moving back to Brissie (ran out of money) the Sunny Coast is a great place to live. I've been there 2 1/2 years and it'll always be my home with Melbourne. There is always music on somewhere especially at Joe's Waterhole here in Eumundi, also many pubs, rsl's have regular gigs on. There are books shops all over, galleries in Noosa, a hippie vibe in certain towns and suburbs as well as a fresh feel near the beaches. One day if you can, go for a drive up the coast and stop off at all the beaches from Alex Headlands to Noosa. You just stay for a little bit at each and i swear you'll never want to leave It's heaven on earth.
