hey um, i have quite some resin in my first pipe i bought a while ago...i was just wondering...how are u suposed to take those resin hits? i dont get it? just scrape all of it from the sides of the bowl and then smoke it ?
Iv'e heard of some method where you boil the pipe in hot water and when you poor the water out, keep the resin clumps. Im really not sure though
resin~tar... more concentrated substance, but a lot worse on the lungs. scrape the bowl with a knife and collect the resin off the blade. put a little ball in the bowl or mix it with tobacco or weed in a J proceed to smoke
Personaly, I would do an acetone bath... Acetone will suck any THC out of the resin, leaving behind the stuff you don't want, so soak the pipe in acetone(Industrial from a hardware store... not nail polish remover) Let the acetone evaporate away, takes about a day, and you'll end up with oily THC resin in a bowl, and smoke it like its hash. Basicly its a form of THC extraction!
To scrape the bowl first take a lighter and heat up the resin then scrape it, it comes off easier. Then scrape as much of the rest of the insides of the pipe using a toothpick or paperclip through the mouth hole and carb. Then take all the resin and roll it in a ball and smoke it.
It's basically the same thing as hash. I'm baked and don't feel like explaining... it's like when you boil the shit strain it and the trichomes... fuck this... I'm going to go watch south park.
I just did this today. Use 99% Isopropal alcohol (non indicated stuff with no additive note I don't think you can get this in the states). clean out pipes, bongs, stash container, grinder, etc... save alcohol from cleaning, put on plate to evap, scrape up hash, form into balls, smoke that shite Fuck I'm baked.
ive been through this a few times before but i propose that its perhaps not nearly as 'bad on the lungs' as normal weed, if not better for the lungs. but i wont go into it atm
Wish I lived in BC. I had an uncle who lived in Kamloops for awhile, but he died last year. He used to grow so my dad and I had to get rid of his plants. I'm outta weed.
You guys are all WAY too complicated with the way you smoke your resin. If you have enough of it in your pipe, just smoke it the way it is. No scraping, nothing. You'll have to hit the pipe slow and softly enough to draw the flame in, but not burn the crap outta yourself. When the resin begins to glow you have heated it up enough and should be able to get a decent hit. If the pipe gets too hot just roll it between your hands really quickly, if its glass it should cool off in a jiff. WARNING: Resin tastes worst than the most cashed hit you've ever taken, be prepared to cough up a friggin lun.

Yeah, you can smoke it as it is... for some reason, this thread turned into some odd way to try to make some kinda halfassed hash out of old resin...
if you used a bong, then all you do it pull through the bong as if theres weed in it, and soon enough, smoke will magically appear in the chamber! a great trick for friends who arent quick to realise what your doing
