I'm trying to break into homebrewing Beer. We did it with a kit a few times. Made some decent regular beer and tried a few concoctions.

    Been there and done that.
Pre-adolescent trying to get the most bang for his buck.

I made 3 batches... drank the first although it was pretty foul. My friend and I decided to buy a kit whilst drunk. We continued to brew her up afterwards... thinking we would flavor it with limeonade concentrate and make it more potent with added sugar. Haha.

Second batch wasn't carbonated. Perhaps residue from cleaning the bottles killed the yeast.

Third batch was hit and miss. Certain bottles were carbonated while others weren't. The carbonated ones were by far the best I've made yet.

As with mycology, sterility is my downfall. It's a fun hobby and it takes more to make good beer than one would think. Perhaps later on I'll continue with my endeavors...
