Do any of you guys like Melanie? She sings the song Brand New Key but her stuff is just all around groovy. I only just heard her today actually but I really like her. If any of you guys know her tell me so that I don't feel so alone. love, Ashley

Who here is a fan of Melanie? I'm a huge fan of her early stuff, later stuff is a little hit or miss. Anyhow, Melanie is one of the few that remained a true hippie, and I couldn't admire her more for that. Who else loves her?
I love her version of Ruby Tuesday. It was a very generic pop song before she covered it, she brings it so much more emotionally! Her self-penned songs don't do much for me though.
