okay, my exercise schedule is 20-60 min on the eliptical machine every day.And in the recent months i have started weight lifting 3 times a week as well. I have no arm strength, and recently my left arm has been freaking me out. It has happened twice, both times were this week, and it happens the day after i weight lift. I take a break in between lifting days, so its the day i dont lift. Right above my elbow on my left arm i get a wierd tingle, and my arm feels veeerrrry slightly numb there but that i have found to probably be mostly in my mind. The first day it did it i thought i was going to have a stroke or heart attack at the ripe healthy age of 19. Its very slight, but enough that i notice and since it has never happened i am freaking out.

I was just wondering if maybe since it is my less dominant arm (i am right handed) and i have never done a lot of strength training in my arms that focus on every muscle like i have been doing, plus the fact that its on days i do not lift, is it maybe just my arm getting used to being worked or not used?

I just wanted to know if this could be from the arm exercises i am doing. i hope it is. i just think its wierd its just in one arm.

When I started working out after about four years of doing absolutely nothing, my legs used to feel like that after hiking. In fact, sometimes I'd sit for an hour or so after hiking and I'd barely be able to walk. My muscles would tense up and get tingly... I always assumed it was because I was so out of shape. As I sit here though, typing this, it seems like it could also be an indication of a small clot or a problem with vasodilation of your blood vessels.

I'd suggest keeping an eye on it, if it is persistant after a month or so of working out, I suggest going to the doctor just for a consultation. It could be that your arm is just out of shape, or it could be a more serious problem...

    Good luck with it though.

it could be a multitude of things. i'd say rest it for a week and then slowly get back into your arm workout. if its persistant after that, get it check out with a doctor, or maybe a sports therapist since they would have more knowledge on sporting injuries.

it could also be that your recovery time is slow and you will need to let your arms rest longer before doing a workout with them. if your doing arm workouts on all 3 of your lift days that might be a problem.

also, you might have strained a muscle and continually working it out won't let it heal correctly.

    i hope that helped...
