How can humans be so selfish? How can we abuse our resources and take advantage of anything and everything that we feel is lower than us? I cannot even understand how a species can be so fucked up. We're polluting our own home... the only place we have to live. We abuse animals. And no, I am not about to call them "ours." Who the fuck was the first to come up with the idea that we can dominate the entire earth... that we can treat any other species as horribly as we want, simply because we are more advanced? GOD, I hate it when people ask me why I dislike the human species. Yes, I even dislike myself. It's so much easier to be a human, but it's so much more horrible. Who really wants to be a member of a species that is the sole cause of the destruction of an entire planet and the sole cause of the extinction of any species they choose to attempt to dominate? "Eating meat is natural." We could argue about that statement all day. But since when is it natural OR right to treat animals the way we do? I've been thinking about this for the past few days. It keeps running through my head. I've been a vegetarian for about 20 months now, and for a few months I stopped thinking about it. Factory farming never crossed my mind. Animal testing, fishing, fast food chains, etc... I had to get a grip on my old self, abandon my suicidal self-mutilating, we're-all-going-to-die-some-day-so-i-should-stop-giving-a-shit new self, and start thinking again. "In their behavior toward creatures, all men are Nazis. Human beings see oppression vividly when they're the victims. Otherwise they victimize blindly and without a thought." If there was any quote that I could ever agree with 100%, it's that one. I don't understand how most people can over-look the damn facts and not give a shit. Farming is the number one cause of water pollution in the united states. Wake up call . Who could beat a dying pig to death? Who could let an animal drown in its own blood? Who could boil a living chicken? And THEN... who could even possibly grind those tortured animals flesh with their teeth? Animals that lived their entire lives in complete hell. Tortured daily; forced to eat their own feces, suffering from beatings and broken bones, minimal living space... and then what is their release from this torture? A slow and painful death. And what do we do with their corpses? We greedily eat them. I refuse to let this continue to happen without at the very least attempting to put a stop to it. I refuse to sit on my ass all day and bitch about it without even putting forth any type of effort. And if one person just-just one-becomes a vegetarian because of anything I ever taught them about factory farming, then I will have achieved something. No, I'm not trying to start a veggie debate. I'm not saying eating meat is wrong. I'm saying the way humans treat animals and the earth is wrong. And no, I'm not attempting to force my beliefs onto anyone. bleh, anyway. one last quote "Auschwitz begins wherever someone looks at a slaughterhouse and thinks: they're only animals." so, anyway. I'm going to at the very least try to organize some protests and start leafleting. Getting out the word... I'm even willing to abandon saving up for a camera and start saving up to donate to animal-help charity organizations, or to sponsor a billboard in my community.
that is why capitalism is so screwed up...i wish i was an animal too...but dont forget that there are some religions that treat certain animals like royalty
i remember when i got my meet your meet dvd in the mail.. it was very upsetting s'what turned me vegetarian :H
i was just askin cause he loves his peta and talking about saving the animals and living in the trees... every minute of every conversation i actually still have some green on mine it just kinda.. rubs off on your clothes or take a bath
haha...take the rough side of a sponge and scrub it off i'm thinking that lying down while trying this might help and yes. humans are quite disgusting. fucking homo sapiens.
so is it wrong for animals to eat other animals? Or what if i caught a wild pig and it never saw a slaughter house or was treated crule? then would it be ok to eat it?
