One of my favorite Who album's is Odds and Sods. Best track is the cover of Summertime Blues.

The Album has been expanded to two sides with a full tommy and a full Quick One.

    Quadrophenia is the masterpiece though

As far as masterpieces go, Quadrophenia is in the shadow of Tommy. Hugely.

I'm a big Who fan, but I've never really enjoyed Who's Next. Their '60s work is miles beyond Who's Next.

I will agree there. I much prefer Tommy to Quadrophenia. I do enjoy Quadrophenia, though.

I wonder what Pete's abandoned project Quads (which inspired "I'm a Boy") would have been like...

"Who's Next" was really raw. I saw most of what I liked about them there: rebellion. But for the full experience, I would have to go live, and buy "Life at Leeds". And still a shame they didn't include full Tommy on it's normal edition.

It wouldn't all fit on one CD. [IMG]

The Who playing life (in their golden age, so before Moon's death) was a constant burst of energy. I don't know where they get their amazing drive from from.

who's next is a bit overrated, probably due to the fact that its played out constantly on AOR. that and the songs are featured on commercials now, too. tommy is overrated as well. actually, I like quadrophenia better than tommy. the first half of tommy is good, dont get me wrong, but by the second half, it gets rather boring, I would say.
